The chain of a bicycle is the component that makes it what it is. It transmits the force exerted on the pedals through sprockets and gears into forward motion. The chain requires a locking element to connect one end to the other, and this is where the XLC CC-X01 spring lock comes into play.
The XLC CC-X01 spring lock is a chain lock specifically developed for 1 1/8 inch chains used with hub gears. In other words, when the derailleur is integrated into the rear wheel hub.
