Changing the position of the lower link and shock now lower and forward was key to lowering the anti-squat for a wild bike like the Bronson. Anti-squat occurs when the force of your pedaling ends up stiffening the suspension. Every time you encounter an obstacle, a bump, the chain, and therefore the pedals, are effectively jerked backwards. If the anti-squat is insufficient, the bicycle stalls under the pressure of pedaling. If it is too much, the bicycle will be "hard" and will not be able to absorb the bumps encountered while under load. By moving any of the VPP™ pins a couple of millimeters in any direction, you get dramatic ride quality adjustments. The VPP™ lower link is now positioned lower and slightly forward to optimize anti-squat. The result is a sensation of softness, priceless feel and great traction.
