This is a modern interpretation of the windbreaker, the one you can keep in your pocket ready to be worn on a long descent or during the first hour of riding until the day warms up. This jacket was originally very basic - a simple nylon shell - but the lack of stretch meant it had to be cut at the back of the hips to fit all body types, both on the bike and when not in the saddle.
We completely rethought what a windbreaker should be and how it should be constructed. We added panels on the hips and the sleeves are made of a very elastic yet tightly woven fabric that allows us to give the jacket a modern, close-fitting look, and one capable of retaining more heat than a flapping jacket. We made it super compact so it can be stored away taking up minimal space in a jersey pocket.
The elasticated panels are treated to be water-repellent, which will help in case of light drizzle, but it is not designed to be a proper rain jacket.
