Dear customer, we are pleased to inform you that Fantic has introduced important changes to the engine in question that equips the Fantic E-bikes, these changes are already present in the current production.
Fantic has detected a defect in the upper engine belt due to their usual quality standards. This defect could not be justified only by the performance of the engine. From the analysis of the designers, it was possible to identify and isolate some unnecessary peaks of torque at low revs. To correct this anomaly, a new version of the firmware was released that controls the delivery of the engine. The new version eliminates these unnecessary peaks but leaves the assistance provided unchanged. At the same time the geometry and material of the belt has also been updated. For many E-bikes it is possible to update the engine firmware.
The upgradeable E-bikes fall within these frame number ranges: from CA00000026657 to CA00000027365 from CA00000027404 to CA00000027475 from CA00000027497 to CA00000027537 from CA00000027572 to CA00000028681 from CA00000030177 to CA000000007
We invite you to check the frame numbers of the bicycles in your possession, and to make contact with an authorized Fantic workshop to update the engine firmware as soon as possible to avoid annoying inconveniences. For previous products or those not included in the intervals, it is not possible to update the engine firmware, but Fantic has decided to apply a particular intervention protocol to be applied in case of belt breakage: ➢ Replacing the engine with a new one. ➢ 48-month engine warranty extended from engine production date.
