Kenda has present Hellkat and Helldiver to the European market, the casings for downhill tires based on a long and continuous development process involving the Polygon UR Racing team champions.
The result of this collaboration, fueled by feedback from athletes engaged in the most spectacular and demanding international sports agenda, are two top-level tire models that are optimized in every detail.
Kenda Hellkat and Helldiver are, first of all, exceptional for reliability: they prevent punctures due to the Iron Cloak Belt under the tread, limit the risk of pinching, or the “cut-off” of the tire by the introduction of an Apex that is 60% longer than on the traditional ones; and the Kenda Vector Shield (KVS) minimizes the risk of being left on foot by shoulder cuts. But their qualities do not end there.
In particular, Hellkat has a tread design that offers the right mix of smoothness, tightness, and handling on many types of terrain and in many different climatic conditions. Helldiver, on the other hand, succeeds in being a super rolling tire without sacrificing curve stability and braking control.
The AGC (Advanced Gravity Casing) framework also maintains its weight, while at the same time providing resistance to pinching and lateral cuts to the tubeless tire.
Hellkat and Helldiver are tubeless-ready, as are many of the most innovative models currently on the market, but also the dual compound mixture has been completely rethought.
Kenda has optimized its previous RSR (Race Stick-E Rubber) mix making it double-layer by adding a “base” of SRC compound rubber that is tougher and more rigid, to provide excellent rolling and better stability, but below the surface it is even softer and more able to dampen the impact of bumps from stones, rocks, and roots to ensure maximum grip.
