A challenge to the limit took place in an evocative location. The island of Elba hosted the second stage of the 2021 e-enduro championship. Ridewill, as well as being the official e-commerce sponsor, left its mark on the track with our rider Marco Orsenigo. Although there was a great change with the special stages in the dark, Marco managed to dominate the technical territory of Lacona; establishing himself among other great athletes, and finishing in 6th place overall and 4th in the category. But let's hear his impressions:
How did the organization of the event seem to you?
The organization of the race was excellent, for the location, the trails, all the affiliated structures.
How were the tracks?
The natural paths were best prepared, with single tracks alternating with faster and more technical sections where interpretation was very free.
How did the competitions take place?
The four special stages were run blindly on Saturday, as per the new 2021 regulation, and then on Sunday.
What was the most challenging moment?
The last of the four special stages was mainly uphill, with very steep and trial-like sections which challenged our endurance.
Are you satisfied with your bike?
The feeling with my Raymon grows more and more. The bike was very stable in the battered sections typical of the Island of Elba.
How were your opponents?
The level of the riders on the circuit is growing constantly. In some specials, the gap was even less than 1 second.
What do you think of your performance?
I am satisfied that I have improved my pace again. I close in sixth position overall and fourth in my category just a few seconds from the podium.
Now we look forward to the next round of the circuit in Valle Varaita.
