DoubleTap®
With DoubleTap® you can shift gears more easily and more quickly, eliminating that awkward and unnatural movement required by two-lever systems. DoubleTap allows shifting with a simple upward and downward motion. Minimum effort and maximum comfort, regardless of hand position on the handlebar.
DoubleTap® uses two pins: one to hold the spool and one to move it down and up during gear changes. The pins are arranged so that they can bypass each other depending on how far and with how much pressure you press the shift lever.
With a short, quick touch, the transport pin (04) moves the spool (02) upward through the gear range. For a lower gear, the lever is moved a greater distance (in the same direction as the upshift, but at the ergonomically maximum angle of 15º). In this process, the locking pin (03) and the transport pin bypass each other quickly and cleanly.
Position, position, position: the DoubleTap levers (05) move in only one direction and work flawlessly, regardless of where you move. Thanks to the mounting of two joints (01), completely independent from the brake joint, the lever can be operated from all positions on the handlebar.
What sets DoubleTap apart from similar systems, however, is that the shift lever can also be pulled towards the handlebar, allowing you to shift to a higher gear during a sprint or attack without having to loosen your grip.
In DoubleTap® shifters, the shift lever is mounted completely independently from the brake lever. This not only enables the multi-position function, but also eliminates the risk of accidentally operating the brake or shift lever – a significant disadvantage of combined levers.
Zero Loss
ZeroLoss means 'zero loss'. When you press the shift lever to shift up or down, the cable is released immediately, ensuring zero loss of motion. No more dead time waiting for the gear to engage. The gear is shifted immediately and precisely.
