Maxxis Dissector returns in a completely redesigned version, with a series of updates that improve its performance on all terrains. The most significant change concerns the side knobs, now redesigned with a wider contact surface and reworked siping, to offer greater stability and predictability in corners, especially on hardpack terrain.
The new shape of the side knobs better resists deformation under load, increasing durability and control. The response of the side knobs is also more immediate, providing a firmer and more confident riding feel in corners.
The center tread maintains the proven 2-3-2 configuration, but the central "3" block group has been split into individual knobs, improving braking traction and terrain adaptability. The transition knobs have been moved outward to make the tire lean more progressive and smooth. The center tread pattern also benefits from revised siping, designed to increase grip and durability.
All these updates make the new Dissector even more versatile, perfect for trail bikes with mid-short travel. It excels as a front tire on 130–140 mm bikes, especially when paired with fast-rolling rear tires like the Forekaster or Rekon. On longer travel bikes (150 mm and over), it proves to be a fast and reliable choice as a rear tire in dry conditions.
