Spherical Technology allows the helmet's outer shell to rotate around the inner shell during an impact, and enables impact force absorption through Progressive Layering, meaning the different densities of the two shells. The outer shell is denser and therefore stiffer, while the inner shell is less dense and therefore less rigid: during an impact, the outer shell acts as a shield, absorbing the initial blow and all sharp impacts, while the inner shell behaves almost like a cushion, protecting the cyclist's head.
