34 SL – Unmatched XC Capability
The FOX 34 SL delivers unprecedented XC performance in a full-size 34 chassis. Developed for the most technical World Cup XC courses and the most demanding descents, the 34 SL offers more stiffness, more comfort, and minimal weight gain over the 34 Step-Cast fork.
As a representative of the Factory series, this fork with the proven FLOAT air suspension is, of course, feature-rich. Technically, the high-performance GRIP SL damper stands out in particular, taking XC damping to a new level. The damper offers the perfect balance between pedaling efficiency and small-bump absorption. You can climb faster, pedal harder on descents, and recover more quickly.
The new fork crown design increases torsional stiffness by 17% compared to the previous XC fork (Fox 34 Step-Cast). The 34 SL also impresses with reduced friction and increased suspension smoothness. The lower legs impress with intelligent detail solutions. The chassis convinces with smart details, such as the "Bypass" channels in the lower legs, which prevent air pressure from building up, so you always utilize the suspension's full travel. With its smooth and extremely durable Kashima coating, the 34 is also visually impressive.

GRIP SL Climb Faster. Descend Harder. Recover Quicker. This lightweight short-travel suspension not only impresses in terms of weight savings but also offers a ride feel that is second to none. Particular attention was paid to preventing fatigue. On one hand, this is due to the smooth response paired with optimized, bob-free pedaling efficiency. On the other, the intelligent Blowoff function, available in Lockout mode, absorbs unexpected impacts. Ideal for Cross Country (XC, XCO, XCC).
Arch Against The 34 SL fork crown, optimized by FOX engineers, encases the lower legs and contributes to a 17% higher torsional stiffness compared to the previous XC fork, the 34 Step-Cast. Strategic cutouts help minimize weight.
Lower Leg Bypass Channels Air pressure increases during compression, which can cause the fork to not reach its full travel. The channels in the lower legs solve this problem by significantly increasing the air volume. This not only reduces the occurrence of unwanted pressure spikes but also allows oil to circulate into the upper areas of the lower legs, keeping the internal seals and bushings constantly lubricated.
