The new CYCLUS TOOLS crank puller features an extra-long stroke, exceeding 20 mm. When the crank arm has been firmly secured to the axle by tightening the bolts to the specified torque, a special puller is required to safely remove the crank arm from the axle. What to do when the bottom bracket axle does not have tapered mating surfaces, as is the case with e-bikes? In this situation (threaded bottom bracket), an additional support is necessary, as the crank arm position is determined solely by screw connections and the standard removal method is no longer applicable. We have the solution: the new Cyclus crank puller, with a longer-stroke puller (over 20 mm).

The new Cyclus crank puller allows for the quick, safe, and professional removal of both older and newer deep-profile crank arms. To make the best use of the new CYCLUS TOOLS crank puller, the following components are essential: crank internal thread M22x1, bottom bracket connection thread M18x1, Cannondale BB33.

Special note: with the help of the CYCLUS TOOLS cutter (art. 720235), it is possible to first ream out the defective crank threads (M22x1) and then cut a new M24x1 thread using the CYCLUS TOOLS tap (and die: art. 720245). Upon completion of the work, you will not only have removed the crank arm but also repaired it. Your customer will greatly appreciate this service.

Note: ensure you have the Cyclus Tools mounting guides. Once a new thread has been cut, you can use the Cyclus Tools mounting pullers and remove the crank arm as usual.
