The RimTape is an indispensable accessory for every wheel. The
high-pressure adhesive RimTape
is long enough to fit any bicycle and ensures protection of the air chamber, keeping it in place.
The size choice depends on the type of rim you have, hooked or hookless. Hooked rims have hooks that hold the tire in place (photo 3, left icon). Hookless rims do not have these hooks, they have a straight vertical edge and often require wider tapes to ensure proper fit and adequate seal (photo 3, right icon). The rim type affects the internal rim width, so it is crucial to measure it accurately. Once measured, add 2-4 mm to the internal rim width, so that the tape adheres firmly and effectively covers the spoke holes.
