Sram has refined every part of RED to create simple one-finger braking, smooth front shifting, and fully wireless connectivity and expanded gearing choices to fit every rider. All possible features have been included including accurate and reliable power measurement, new shift points and greater brake adjustability, while the components have been further improved, eliminating any superfluous weight to create the lightest electronic group ever.

Aftermarket assembly includes rear derailleur, front derailleur, brake and shifters, disc brake calipers, rotors, charger and Hammerhead Karoo.

- New controls
The new controls have a new shape to guarantee a better grip in the high position. At the end of the lever there is a slight curvature towards the handlebars to provide a better grip in a low position. On the controls there are two bonus buttons, one on the right side and one on the left, which can be used as normal shift controls or to change the screens on the cycle computer without having to take your hands off the handlebars.
- Braking system
In addition to the aesthetic improvement, the piston in the hydraulic part has also been modified, which is no longer positioned vertically but horizontally, giving greater braking power. The design of the calipers has also been changed, which now features holes in the side part. This design lightens the weight of the calipers and improves their cooling, contributing to more effective braking.
- Front Derailleur
The new front derailleur is faster and more reliable, allowing fast and silent gear changes. The Red derailleur uses YAW technology with electronic position adjustment to speed up gear changes and eliminate friction with the chain in any position. It is extremely easy to install and adjust, also thanks to the new verification template included. Compatible with chainrings ranging from a minimum of 46/33 up to a maximum of 56/43.
- Rear derailleur
The beating heart of the new Red AXS is lighter and faster. It is designed for cassettes from 10-28 up to 10-36. The pulleys have been enlarged to reduce the chain angle and improve fluidity. The Orbit system helps keep the chain taut even under strong vibrations. With just one gear at the rear, it is suitable for both 1x and 2x versions, both on and off road.
