Spike Race 33 wheels have been specially developed to offer enduro, freeride and downhill cyclists very light, robust and high quality wheels. In this case, Spank combined the Spike Race 33 rim with an e-bike-specific Spank Hex J-Type steel hub. The 29-inch, 32-hole rim is only 28 mm wide, a bit unusual compared to other hardcore rims, but this gives the tire a smaller contact patch and therefore the rolling resistance is significantly lower. Thanks to the special construction of the OohBah rim, force flows are dissipated better, making the rim extremely stable and durable. This design also allows you to optimize weight. Electric mountain bikes are no longer just a trend in Germany and Austria, but are now an integral part of the sport. This makes it even more important to have specially adapted parts designed for use with an electric motor and its power influences. HEX hubs are now also available with steel freewheels.
