The Spike Race 33 wheels have been specially developed to offer enduro, freeride and downhill riders very light, robust and high quality wheels. In this case, Spank combined the Spike Race 33 rim with an e-bike specific Spank Hex J-Type steel hub.
The 32-hole 27.5-inch rim is only 28mm wide, somewhat unusual compared to other rims, but this gives the tire a smaller footprint and thus significantly lower rolling resistance. Thanks to the special OohBah rim design, the power peaks that occur are better dissipated, which makes the rim extremely stable and durable. This design also allows for weight optimization.
