At first glance, the BL-M9200 brake lever seems little changed from the previous version. It remains very comfortable to grip and allows high braking force with minimal effort. The brake system's sealing has been completely revised and can only be filled with LV (low viscosity) mineral oil. The advantage? High brake performance in virtually all temperature conditions, allowing you to tackle even long descents with peace of mind, without fluctuations in the pressure point. Furthermore, the responsiveness between the various components is significantly faster. The proven SM-BH90 hydraulic hose is used for the connection to the brake caliper. It is flexible enough to adapt even to tight bend radii, but transmits every deceleration command without loss. The power of the brake caliper is not visible to the naked eye. Its slim appearance integrates perfectly with any frame, but the 2 pistons provide a powerful grip in every situation. The updated brake pads reduce unwanted noise and prevent annoying rattling even on rough roads. To reduce weight, the caliper is made from a magnesium alloy, ensuring high stiffness and good heat dissipation. Maintenance of the XTR M9200 brakes is simple thanks to the One-Way Bleeding technology, and can be performed even by those with only minimal mechanical skill.
