Mounting a Tubeless tire requires a strong burst of air, so that the tire bead quickly pushes into the wheel rim, thus sealing the tire. "Depending on the tire-rim combination, this does not always succeed with conventional floor pumps," explains Peter Krischio, Schwalbe Product Manager Race. In a professional workshop or at the gas station, a compressor helps. It is possible to bring up to eleven bar of pressure into the tire instantly. The black 1.5-liter pressure tank acts as a kind of mini compressor, which can be pumped up to 11 bar with the help of a normal floor pump. Subsequently, a hose with a mounted valve adapter is screwed onto the rim valve with the valve core previously removed. Now all that remains is to open the regulator on the Tire Booster and the compressed air rushes into the tire, making it snap into the wheel rim in a fraction of a second.
