It has been redesigned from the ground up to offer protection, increased ventilation, fully customizable fit, and a redesigned shell for a low-profile look. The DRT5 Maven weighs 60 grams less than its predecessor, the DRT5, making it lighter than ever. It features the BOA 360° Fit System, which uses an adjustable dial for a customized and secure fit. The Mips® Safety System is a low-friction layer integrated into the helmet. It reduces rotational motion of the head, helping to mitigate harmful forces that might otherwise impact the wearer's head. The vents total 19, including redesigned ones on the front and top that significantly improve airflow and breathability. The front vents offer riders a convenient place to store their glasses. Unobtainium® grippers keep the glasses' arms in place, while a second glasses storage area is located at the back of the helmet, a feature only the DRT5 Maven offers. The DRT5 Maven features innovative Sweat Guard brow protection and traditional fabric padding on the top of the helmet. The Sweat Guard silicone gel absorbs and wicks sweat away from the forehead to prevent glasses from getting dirty, while the fabric padding provides more contact points to increase overall comfort. The Ionic+™ antimicrobial liner activates with sweat to ensure freshness and odor control. The four-point adjustable visor keeps sun and debris away from the face and provides a secure place to store glasses. Designed with Oakley Airbrake MTB glasses in mind, the DRT5 Maven offers a perfect fit. The DRT5 Maven features an Iridium® coated badge that mirrors the colors of Oakley Prizm™ lenses. Each badge color is unique to the helmet color, but all celebrate the Oakley eyewear tradition.
