NEW TAIL
A new tail design allows the helmet and head to assume a lower position, creating an aerodynamic shield for the shoulders. This concept, developed in the Tube, our wind tunnel, makes the new Drone II 13.5 seconds faster over a 40 km time trial compared to the previous version.
Wide Body design
MET Drone Wide Body II directs airflow past the shoulders, significantly reducing turbulence and aerodynamic drag. This innovative design conceptualized by MET allows the athlete to achieve valuable energy savings while increasing speed.
AERODYNAMICS DEVELOPED IN THE TUBE
The Drone Wide Body II was designed in the Tube, a wind tunnel specifically conceived for aerodynamic and thermal analysis in cycling.
MAG-CLIP SHIELD LENS
The MET Mag-Clip Shield visor, specifically designed for the Drone, maximizes aerodynamics with a teardrop shape. The magnetic clips firmly hold the lens in place when attached to the helmet, with no risk of detachment due to vibrations. The lower profile is rubber-coated to prevent lens smudging, and the lens is also protected by an anti-fog treatment.
LOW DRAG VENTS
Three vents are strategically positioned where airflow creates maximum pressure. Without sacrificing the helmet's primary aerodynamic function, we are able to provide good ventilation.
