The rebirth of Magura Gustav brings to memory the "beautiful old days". Known as "the still Swabian", its performances were legendary, its braking power without rivals and the current pro version continues exactly on this line. It will also establish the standards in terms of deceleration, modulation and reliability and will also lead the heavy E-MTBs to stop safely at all times. The main unit is also a sign of power. It has a massive design and blends perfectly with the look of modern e-bikes from Downhill. The ergonomic lever in light carbotecture material is comfortably under the fingers and moves a piston of 12 mm in diameter. It provides a sensation of direct braking and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of modulation. It also has a predetermined breaking point to minimize damage in the event of a fall. Thanks to the screwed support point, the new lever can be installed quickly. Needless to say, the individual adjustment of the handle width can be carried out without tools using a small wheel. The installation is also extremely simple. The hinged clamp can be fixed without removing the knobs and allows the assembly of the SRAM and Shimano changes using the Shiftmix adapters supplied. Another innovative solution is the Easy-Link connection. It allows you to quickly detach the brake tube without the need for special tools. Just remove the roof hood, extract the safety pivot and the cable can be removed. An intelligent idea, especially for today's frames with internally unrelated cables. The solid brake caliper, forged in high quality aluminum, transfers the braking force concentrated to the disc. Four pistons with a diameter of 19 mm carry out the work, while the single -lady design increases rigidity and guarantees a very sensitive response. The Gustav Pro forms the ideal couple with the Magura MDR-S 2.5 rotors available optionally. Their clutch ring often 2.5 mm guarantees lasting stability even during long descents. In addition, a diameter of 203 mm is completely sufficient. Of course, conventional brake discs can be used without problems. The 13.s brake pads were installed for optimal deceleration. Have approx. 40% more material than EMT7 and guarantee silent and powerful braking as well as extremely reduced wear. In addition, the special compound avoids the need to curb for a long time. Since of course you want to drive rather than screwing, the individual components of Gustav Pro are specially designed to last over time. Not only are the robust brake pads and rotors prolong maintenance intervals, but the 7 ml tank also guarantees that there is little air in the system. However, if it was necessary to take a purge, the operation will be facilitated by an improved valve. Furthermore, in the oil channel there are no hidden corners or blind alleys, so that each air bubble is expelled. Typical of Magura is also the high quality of production, so that you can travel thousands of kilometers without having to worry about your safety.
