More information
Not even a very light bike can win on its own, even if it is a good starting point. Elite 240 C:62 SLX offers everything little racers need. The lightweight carbon frame and fork are perfectly proportioned for smaller riders. The sturdy Newmen wheels are light, like the Schwalbe Aerothan inner tubes, which generate a sprinting acceleration, also the result of the interaction with a CUBE Action Rookies crankset and a Sram GX 1x11 drivetrain. Child-friendly handlebars, grips and brake levers and powerful Magura MT8 Pro hydraulic disc brakes ensure perfect control on the race course, whatever the conditions. At this point all that remains is to pedal, and win!
Working together, we know that elite riders want a frame that is stiff, responsive and, above all, lightweight. And these are exactly the features we've equipped the lightweight carbon chassis of the Elite 240 C:62 with, only in a smaller format, perfectly proportioned for smaller riders. Every single detail is aimed at reducing weight without compromising strength and rigidity. The tapered head tube, full carbon fork and 12 mm thru axles on both wheels ensure steering precision and efficient power transmission. We also kept the seatstays thin for convenience, and the cables were routed internally to ensure precise shifting over time, so mum and dad can spend more time cheering rather than tinkering with the bike.
