The T47 threaded bottom bracket uses an oversized PF30 and EVO386 interface, but with the advantage and peace of mind of a threaded interface. The T47/86 positions the bearings inside the width of the frame and is compatible with 85.5mm wide Trek frames, as well as standard 86mm wide T47 Inboard frame designs. T47 is a standard created by custom frame builders. It is threaded, has a 47mm inner diameter, and is 86mm wide. It offers the design advantages of being oversized and wide, but also the practical benefits of threading. This kit mates those bottom brackets to 30mm spindle cranks. The cups have pre-installed CeramicSpeed bearings. Two bearing options are available. The Standard Bearing has CeramicSpeed balls and hardened steel races. The Coated Bearing has the same balls running on a 3-micron thick coating applied to those hardened steel races, for increased durability and even less friction.
