The threaded T47 bottom bracket uses an oversized PF30 and EVO386 interface, but with the advantage and peace of mind of a threaded interface. The T47/86 positions the bearings inside the width of the frame and is compatible with 85.5mm wide Trek frames, as well as with standard 86mm wide T47 Inboard frame designs. This bottom bracket allows the installation of Shimano and other 24mm diameter spindle cranksets into a T47 shell. It is compatible with 86mm wide frames and also with 85.5mm wide TREK T47 frames. There are 2 versions: Standard and Coated Bearings. CeramicSpeed Bearings are installed in the cups and connected through the shell. Both have super-round CeramicSpeed balls and hardened steel races. CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings have an additional attribute: a 3-micron thick metal layer over the races. This addition makes the races harder and smoother, reducing friction and increasing lifespan.
