With our OSPW RS for Shimano Road groupsets, we are taking the OSPW into the future with a decidedly modern and angular design. The updated design brings balance and refinement to the OSPW System, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into contemporary bike and groupset design trends—of which the OSPW System is an integral part. With an added layer of customization (multiple Logo and Pulley Wheel options) combined with new innovative technical features, the OSPW RS meets consumer demands for personal expression and a premium riding experience. SHIFTING TIME
Active Debris Removal (ADR)
ADR is a patent-pending technical feature that relies on a unique combination making it virtually impossible for debris to enter the bearing. It consists of a new dust seal design that sits firmly anchored in a groove of the pulley wheel, thus completely enclosing the bearing. This is paired with a lamellar groove structure surrounding the dust seal, which dynamically extracts debris from the pulley wheel when it is rotating. ADR was developed through constant iteration between our R&D department, the CeramicSpeed test lab, and field testing conducted by a select group of our professional off-road teams.

ALPHA Disc
For our new OSPW RS, we offer versions equipped with the ultra-durable ALPHA Disc Pulley Wheel, first introduced with our OSPW X for Eagle Transmission. The ALPHA Disc features a two-piece construction. A separate narrow-wide tooth profile, made from composite material offering extended wear protection and noise reduction. Plus a solid aluminum disc that eliminates the potential for external objects to become lodged between the pulley wheel spokes, while simultaneously adding strength and rigidity to the Pulley Wheel design. The first iterations of our solid disc pulley wheel design were field-tested during the Cyclocross World Cups a couple of years ago. During the 2022 Cyclocross season, our sponsored Tormans team extensively used the solid disc design and provided valuable feedback on its ability to ensure mud clearance in the worst conditions.
