NTA 8776
The NTA 8776 certification is a specific standard for speed e-bikes, it considers a higher average speed and consequently greater impact energies in the event of an accident. To be compliant, the helmet must dissipate more energy compared to standard models, also adding extra coverage in the most sensitive areas: the temples and the nape of the neck. In short, the Bluegrass Jetro, being an NTA helmet, is a safer helmet.
MIPS® PROTECTION SYSTEM
The Bluegrass Jetro is equipped with the MIPS-C2® protection system which allows for the dissipation of rotational forces caused by specific impacts, completing the helmet's safety in all its aspects. The Mips® system is attached inside the shell via elastomers that guarantee 10-15mm of slippage in all directions, a movement that facilitates the absorption of rotational forces harmful to the brain.
FIVE STAR SAFETY
The Bluegrass Jetro received the maximum score of 5 stars in the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab impact test. This test provides an objective assessment of helmet safety, based on linear and rotational impact energies, going beyond the current state of helmet safety standards.
