Michelin has designed and developed an air chamber from the revolutionary concept.
It's called Protek Max: a new type rubber repairs itself when needed.
The air chamber inside has a special shape with the reliefs, which allow it to remain taut and schiacchiata
against the outer tire.
At the right pressure of use, the particular shape of the air chamber allows it to remain elastic,
so that any external body will encounter serious difficulties in drilling holes, as is the case with normal bicycles
that mount the canon rubber hose smooth.
In addition to the structure of the air chamber, the hole caused by the foreign body is carefully plugged by a special
liquid sealant, which is placed inside the chamber of rubber.
Despite the presence of the liquid inside, Michelin has managed to keep weights and measures in line with normal
bicycle tires.
