The Shifty is a small but extremely effective adjustment piece for your Sram 1x11 or 1x12 derailleur. Especially in adverse weather conditions, with water, mud and dirt, it is surprising that the Sram 1x11 and 1x12 derailleurs lose a lot of shifting precision, because the original derailleur rotates without bearings with its plastic body on a steel axle. The friction between these two parts increases significantly in the presence of dirt. This phenomenon is particularly evident in "heavy" gears, where the tensile tension decreases and no longer provides sufficient grip to operate the belt tensioner wheel. Instead of rotating with the pulley, the control cable slides on the idler wheel with increased friction, causing "phantom shifts" or imprecise gear changes. The Shifty is made of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum and is mounted on a stainless steel ball bearing sealed on both sides, which allows for ultra-light shifting even in mud.
