The Enduro World Series took place on 9 and 10 July at La Thuile, in the Aosta Valley. Our Marco Orsenigo participated in the EWS100, category Men. The Enduro World Series took place on 9 and 10 July at La Thuile, in the Aosta Valley.
Our Marco Orsenigo participated in the EWS100, category Men. As the 100 in the name suggests, this race takes place on the same racecourse as the official EWS teams (100% of the course) and gives the opportunity to qualify for private riders and those who have no points to run the EWS.

The race took place on 4 routes, the lifts were partly assisted by the lifts and partly pedaled. Being the locality La Thuile, the terrain of the routes is the typical alpine one, soft, muddy soil, with a lot of treacherous rock.

The tests took place on Friday, after a rainy Thursday which made the routes particularly treacherous. Fortunately, on Friday the sunny weather almost completely dried the route were it not for the first special, characterized by many fords and consequently constantly wet.

The race did not start in the best way. The very long and physical first special, characterized by an uphill stretch of about 1 minute, gave Marco a hard time, who finished in 15th position about 25 seconds from the podium.

Marco comments: "Of course, recovering so many seconds is never easy, but given the length of the 3 remaining races, I reset everything and try to recover."

And the reset works. He finishes the second stage in the second position, while the third and fourth stage in first position.

“Definitely tried, I finish in absolute first position. A result that I wasn't expecting at a such high-level race and on such technical routes.
Obviously, I thank all my supporters who believe in me and allow me to test myself and achieve results like this.
Now the mind is all projected towards the last test of the E-enduro circuit to be held on 30-31-1 in Valle Varaita. " Marco concludes.
